I am a highly qualified counsellor, with over twenty five years of experience supporting and counselling individuals, couples and families, in both the NHS and the private sector. I have worked as a counsellor, in a GP Practice, as a Staff Counsellor within a large London NHS Trust, and for 11 years ran the Oncology Counselling Service at the London Clinic Cancer Centre. I also offer Organisational Supervision and Reflective Practice to staff working in the Oncology Setting. I gained specialist experience in Cancer Counselling in the United States, where I worked at one of the leading US organizations providing support to those affected by cancer. This area of work has continued to be at the heart of what I do. A diagnosis of cancer can bring a huge amount of change and disruption into the life of the individual and their family. It is my aim, to help equip each individual I meet, whether patient or family member, to cope more effectively with the challenges they face in their diagnosis, during their treatment, and beyond. I offer you you a safe space, without judgment, to help you explore your thoughts and feelings. As an integrative counsellor, I carefully tailor the counselling sessions to each individual. My experience tells me that there isn’t one therapeutic approach that can help a client in all situations.
